Local Furniture Removals are calculated and charged in two ways. Either by paying an hourly rate depot to depot or buy getting a fixed price quote.
All Local removals are provided with a medium to large size truck with two men. Additional trucks and men can be arranged by request.
If you are going to be moving around the corner or the next suburb away then an hourly rate tends to work out more cost effective. Because of the short distance travelled on local furniture removals, a backload is not achievable and with an hourly rate you will always be the sole occupant of the vehicle. On normal removals where specialty items are not present ( eg; pianos, pool tables and extra large items ) 2 furniture removalists will always be present unless otherwise requested. If specialty items are present please make sure we are well aware so a smooth transition and problem free removal can take place.
Our Local department runs 7 days a week covering all the major cities in Australia, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairns, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart and even some of the smaller towns in-between. We take pride in safely moving people locally within a 500 km radius.

With a personalised touch our team get involved in your move from your initial enquiry. Have a pen and paper handy each time you contact us, with so much information it is important that we cover all relevant facts and have you ready for your move. We will be asking you a bunch of pertinent questions to gather relevant information to help us gain an understanding of the type of move you require. Upon arrival onsite at your property we will introduce ourselves and familiarise ourselves with your property, our fully trained, friendly ground team will discuss the paperwork with you and explain the logistics of your move, with an aim to inform you of the process and work together to achieve a quality move in an efficient timeframe. Then the real work begins stand back and allow us to weave our magic, we will ask if we need anything otherwise step back and get yourself ready to move to your new home.

Option 1 – Hourly Rate:
The hourly rate is calculated on the time it takes to leave the depot, drive to
the collection address, load and wrap all the furniture items into the back of
the truck, drive to the delivery address, unwrap and place all furniture items
into the new home and drive back to the depot.
Option 2 – Fixed Price:
The fixed price is calculated on the furniture items and a comprehensive
inventory list is required. Just fill in the quote form with all the
relevant information, contact details, addresses from and to, access on the
addresses and the inventory list. From this information a fixed price will be calculated and sent via
e-mail. MovingCo has access to over 100, quality assured removals trucks
Australia wide. Local removals are classed as not moving more than 400km
from point of uplift to point of delivery. Local removals can be priced in 2
different methods, each of which may be suitable to your needs.
